The name is also a nod to the lyrics “bloom and grow” from the song “Edelweiss”, as the design loosely resembles the song’s namesake flower. While wildflowers were the original design inspiration, the feature shapes also resemble stars. Paired with a dark background, the quilt design could be stars shining bright in the night sky.
